Update for 29th November AND A FINISH ;-)

Bev's Update

I have finally finished Lizzie Kate's Good Night, and its been one of those which I have not enjoyed stitching, which is probably why its took me so long to stitch it! Just to think of a way to finish it off now,but its going in the drawer for now as i am sick of seeing it.

I am only doing little projects now until the 2010 stitchalong starts, so my next one is in the sidebar, that my hubby bought me!!! yes i felt faint too when he did, as he has NEVER encouraged me in stitching, if i get a 'yeah its OK' I am doing well.

I have started (one present) but its not worth showing hoping t get some done by next week after i have finished off all the work i have to do for work, yuck i hate having to do it at home, do they not realise i have more important things to do at home lol.

Chris's progress

I have finished the bits from the two top sections with the birds and a row of letters.. I love stitching this but because I have other things on the go can only do a bit each week. The 28c even weave is easy on the eyes!

Linnea's Update:

I have started another color on here! There are several shades of green just like there were several shades of pink in the flowers. Fun seeing another color grow on there.

Happy Stitching!

Sorry guys , still nothing to show. Hopefully things can start getting back to normal a bit now the funeral is over. It was ok, as funerals go , and just how I imagine he would have wanted it , which is good.
On a positive note , we fetched the Eagles back from the framers today , so I'll post some pics later in the week.
Well done on your finish Bev , love the new one. Nice work Chris and Linnea XXX Cath

Mishi's update:
Hi all,
Unfortunately, I didn't get too much done this week. I did the grey bits on the tiger's back and some brown bits on its neck. Will hopefully have more to show next week!
Great work everyone, and congrats on the finish, Bev! :)

Update for 22nd November

Gaynor's Update

I am a little early, but only by an hour and a half. The south and West of Ireland are almost completely under water at the me so I want to get this on before we lose electricity. There are raging storms out there at the mo so I want to make sure I get it on!

Everything that is lower than the green grass and the squirrel's bum is what I have done this week. Quite a lot considering all the other things I have been up to. I have completed the side so I can see the end in sight as I can see how big the whole thing is. I am really looking forward to seeing how everyone else is getting on. If you have nothing to post, please leave a comment. I have put some wine, a cheese platter and a big box of belgium choccies under our newly cleaned naughty chair which you can have but please let us know you are there.

And of course, please feel free to comment: we need all the encouragement we can get ;-)!!!!

I have prepared the 2010 SAL Blog (well, I am surrounded by water..I am bored lol). The details are in the sidebar!

Cath

Nothing to report this week I'm afraid . I haven't been able to concentrate on my big project since finding out about my cousin being killed last weekend in a car accident. May or may not get any done this week as we have the funeral looming , but I will try to get back soon.

Looking good Gaynor , well done . Hope the water doesn't get any closer . Take care all. X

Mishi's update

That's awful Cath.. I'm really sorry. :(

Have done the white and pale bits this week - now moving onto the dark greys and browns scattered around.

Linnea's Update:
I have gotten some stitching done but not quite finished with the pink flowers portion.

I have just a little bit more of some pale pink on the right side there. Then I will be ready to start in with some new colors. Probably the leaves.
This coming week is Thanksgiving for us in the US. I still hope to get some stitching done this week though.
Hoping to see more post their updates on here.
Happy Stitching!

Chris's update
Hi Fellow stitchers,
Sorry I am a day late but we have been away for the weekend and got back last evening.. I have finished off bits that I had left incomplete in the different boxed sections, which was quite hard to do because I like to start new bits all the time. It is beginning to look rather nice, I have been thinking the colours were rather garish but having stitched a bit more it looks better.

Happy stitching all, I am making a real effort this week but still have lots of christmassy things to do that take time, thank you to those who left a pleasant comment on my blog about my socks and crochet purse bags. I have said pleasant as one in chinese was offering me sexy enhancements, which if I knew what there were I'd probably say I am sexy enough thanks!! So have had to put my comments to published after owner seen them... what cheeky b------ there are in the blogging world, I felt quite insulted to think I had been singled out for ???? LOL
Thank goodness for free translations!!!

It doesn't look like I've done much , but there is a lot of back stitch on there.

Hope to get on to some proper stitching later on this week .X

Mishi's update

Looks great Cath - you can really see the difference between the backstitched holly on the left and the other one on the right.

Got the gold and yellow areas done on the tiger this week - I'm now starting on the grey/white bits. Hoping to have those completed this week! :)

Chris's progress

I have worked on the house this week and intend to finish each section completely I have already started over the weeks, instead of starting a new section!! I am inclined to want to move onto a new bit before I have properly finished other sections! Quite hard to fit this stitching in at the moment as I am busy doing christmassy things!
Hope eevryone is ok
Happy stitching
Chris x

bev's Update

Yes yes i know its not sunday but aol decided it didnt like me and wouldnt let me on the internet and it took me over an hour on the phone to some place abroad to get my modem fixed. Anyway not much to show on the stitching front. I did do his beard and trim on his hat with some wisper thread that i managed to pick up in a brilliant little shop i stumbled across in Whitby, but after his boots i am going to have to wait till i get my threads i need, from the internet, tsk tsk i know starting a project and not having all the threads, shame on me lol.

Update for 8th November

Bev's Update

Well im up early as my crappy week is turning worse, and i cant sleep so i am getting some stitching in. BUT its not my gypsy wagon, After phone after phone call it has vanished, which has put me in a even crabbier mood. So for now i just wanted something that i can stitch that was quick in case my stitching some how found its way back to me. so i choose Lizzie Kates 'Good night all' ( yes its not a big stitch but im still hoping it will turn up). I am surprised that i have got so much done this week. its amazing with not sleeping i can stitch more ( sliver lining to every cloud as my dad says lol) Hoping to go and buy my ipod today for my birthday so that will put me in a better mood, i will be able to stitch away listening to my music while he can sit and wath his soaps/ray mears/fishing/war/ cowboy etc, oh bliss i am in a better mood already!

oh can you believe i put this post on another blog..... yes i feel like i am slowly losing it lol

Chris's update
I have stitched some of this but also had a busy week stitching my new Summer Celtic Lady, which I love. I have also crochet a purse bag for my grand daughter and did another PIF so all things are moving along.
Sorry you had such a crappy week Bev, but up early stitching suits me too!!
Hope you have a better week and Happy Stitching all
I am certainly going to stitch this Blue Ribbon design this coming week that chair looks positively disgusting Gaynor!!

Have a Happy Birthday and enjoy that ipod!

Linnea's Update:
First of all I want to say Happy Birthday to Bev. Hope you have fun with your new Ipod and have a great day. I sure do hope your stitching turns up soon.
I decided to post earlier today. Before I even go to church. Surprise! But I will be gone again next weekend so any stitching I do from today on can be next week's update after I get back.

I have actually finished using those two shades of pink that are dancing across my picture there.I need to add another grid line soon so I don't make mistakes in counting. Those lines sure help on this 18 count aida fabric! Can you tell those are supposed to be pink flowers yet? Soon I will be starting the green leaves and perhaps the brown ear of the teddy bear. Fun watching this grow!
Happy Stitching everyone. Now I must go get ready for church. I am the assisting minister today. That means I read the lessons, the psalm, the prayers and help serve communion. Plus a couple of other bits and pieces I also read. Busy morning. Tada for now!

Mishi's update
Managed to get quite a bit done on the tiger this week, mainly on its face. I've finished all the rusty colours on the tiger and am starting to work through all the rest of the golden and yellow parts now. Going to have to go back to stitching all the dark colours again soon, which will be a bit more difficult..

I'd also like to say that everybody else's work looks wonderful. Have a happy birthday Bev, and I hope you manage to find your stitching soon!
Mishi

Happy birthday to you!

I appologies for posting so late… Here is my Progress Picture. :)

Have a great week ladies,
Michele

Better late then never...had a pig of a two days. Sky is done and the internet went down. I spent all morning today trying to find an internet cafe open (all closed down) or a computer shop. Finally found one open and bought a DSL cable that my broadcom company said I needed...only for them to give me the wrong one AND it was down to a fault on the line, not my bloomin system. So not a happy bunny!

I have done the flowers on the side. Not as much as I wanted to do, but dd was here and I still have a piggin cough from the piggin flu...literally lol. Have a better week than I am having pepes!

This Sunday's Post

OK...lets see if we can empty the underneath of that naughty chair. It needs a good clean and an airing: Too many sweets, wine, choccies and I do believe on one occassion even cheese (???) was eaten under that thing! It is quite unhygienic under that at the mo!

Lets put in at least ONE stitch: One stitch gets you out from under the chair and posted on next Sundays post. Come on Pepes: I know you can do it!!!!!!

New SAL

Hi everyone , I've put a pic of my new SAL on the side bar , It's taken from Cross Stitcher mag , issue 127 , and it's by Rhona Norrie. I started it a few weeks ago , but it got neglected while I worked on the Eagle . I'm hoping to get it done in time to be framed for this Christmas , but if it doesn't happen I'm not too worried.
Thanks everyone for your lovely comments on the Eagle , I would not have got it done without being on here X

This is where I've got to so far , I'm hoping to be able to post lots of progress this week , though I've still got to watch Casualty as I didn't watch it on Saturday I was so determined to finish lol.
